Mika recently visited the Horecabeurs in Goes, an event that brings together many professionals from the hospitality industry. These types of trade fairs are always valuable moments to reconnect with entrepreneurs, suppliers, and familiar faces from the sector. It’s a great place to catch up, exchange ideas, and see what others in the industry are working on.

While the event itself was well organized and offered a good opportunity for networking, the level of inspiration this time was somewhat limited. Compared to other hospitality events, there were fewer truly new concepts, innovations, or standout products that sparked fresh ideas.

That said, events like the Horecabeurs in Goes remain worthwhile to visit. Even when the inspiration factor is lower than expected, it still provides a moment to stay connected with the industry, strengthen relationships, and keep a pulse on what’s happening in the market.

In hospitality, the value of these gatherings is often just as much about the people you meet as the products you discover. For that reason alone, it’s always worth taking the time to stop by and have a look.
